Kada Prasad Recipe
Karah Prasad or Kada Prasad is wheat flour halwa cooked with pure ghee and sugar.
This halwa not only tastes amazing but is also easy to make. This is one of the prasad/offerings which are given in gurudhwaras or any other temples or on special occasions.
What is Aate Ka Halwa?
This is one of the easiest indian desserts ever! This halwa has just a handful ingredients and the only difficult bit is the browning of the flour.Which frankly just needs a bit of patience and supervision.
Ingredients:
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup ghee
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Method:
1. In a heated pan, mix together ghee and wheat flour.Roast it on a medium flame till golden brown in colour. It should also be nutty and toasty in aroma.
2. Once the flour is golden brown in colour, pour in the water and mix well.
3. Let it cook for a while and let the water incorporate well into the mixture.
4. When the water goes away and the ghee separate then add 1 cup sugar to the mixture and mix well.
5. The sugar will melt in around 5 to 10 mins then your halwa is ready to serve .
Tip: Serve your halwa or kara prasad as it is because the traditional recipe is served as it is no fancy garnish is required the ghee gives the shine to it and it appears to be glossy and rich in colour.
You can add roasted almond if you want .
