CHANEL Perfection Lumiere

Perfection Lumiere is Chanel's newest foundation, released in 2011 it was set to replace "Chanel Pro Foundation" which has since been discontinued.
This was actually my first Chanel purchase after months of longing at the counter an avid MAC Cosmetic user I decided to take the plunge into Luxury cosmetics and treated myself to Perfection Lumiere and I certainly did not regret it.
Although a pricey foundation, price varying depending on what country you live in, it is definitely worth it.
You get 30ml (1 oz.) in a beautiful matte glass bottle with a pump. Pump foundations are a necessity for me, much more hygienic which if you are doing makeup artistry on people other than yourself; is a must, if not it's still good to not have to pour or put your fingers into your foundation and it is a cleaner application.

The sales assistant matched me to shade #30 Beige, this was in the summer and I was a little more tanned than I am now.
The first thing I noticed was that it smelt amazing. If you're a Chanel fan you will know the smell I mean, the same as the Hydra Beaute skincare range, a very fresh, fruity smell.
When I looked in the mirror I was so amazed, it blended perfectly. I am  NC25-NC30 for reference and oily skinned. I looked mat without the use of any powder, my skin was glowing and you couldn't really tell I was wearing foundation, I was so happy I just had to buy it.

Since the purchase of this foundation I have acquired new brushes and techniques etc. so I will review this product based on how I use it today.

I use my Chanel foundation brush and a duo fibre brush to apply. The consistency is relatively thick compared to some foundations but more fluid compared than MAC Studio Fix for reference.
Swatches thanks to cafe makeup.com
After using primer I use two pumps on the back of my hand and apply with my duo fibre buffing it into my cheeks, forehead and over my nose. I then use my Chanel Foundation brush to go over my nose and around eyes etc and blend in.
You do have to work fast as does dry fairly quickly and oxidises so I would definitely try 2 different shades before purchasing so you can ensure it is true to colour.

It claims to have a light "mat finish" but having oily skin personally I find it isn't enough without the use of powder, but if you don't have oily skin you will be able to use this foundation's amazing finish without having to add powder as well.
