On April 11, 1986, General Hospital fans were introduced to mousy librarian Lucy Coe. 36 years later, she and her portrayer, Lynn Herring, are being celebrated as one of the iconic faces of the long-running ABC soap opera.
Lucy’s transformation into the glamorous, zany, and relentless character that we know and love today proved to be just what fans wanted. Over the years, including several on the spinoff Port Charles, she has been involved in a number of incredible and hysterical storylines like her rivalry with Bobbie, surrogacy, relationships with Scotty and Kevin, vampire hunting, duck-befriending, and of course, serving as the host of the Nurses’ Ball.
