CONR aka MAIZE


"Elote en vaso or entero", here are some Spanish words that you commonly hear when you stop in Mexico stands or even in the lower Rio Grande Valley in stands along the road. It means in its entirety or in a cup. This is something you commonly see in my hometown in Texas. This unique corn preparation is a cultural favorite. Both ways of preparation are topped with some mayo, chili powder, lemon, salt and butter. This offers a sour and tangy taste. You can also ask for it plain with butter or your choice. During summer months, we used to wrap the corn in foil and put it on the grill and then prepare it on our own. The corn offers many benefits and is commonly known world wide as "Maize". It comes in various colors but the most common we are aware of us yellow or white. It has huge green corn husk that cover it and the corn wraps around the cob in rows. It is available year round, but have noticed that are reasonably cheap during summer months. The corn is a common tradition in Native American culture and also the Mayan, Aztec and Inca civilizations. So the corn has a history in its existence and value. The corn offers many benefits. For example a good source of complex carbohydrates for energy. So lets read on and lets EnJoy!

There are many ways to include the benefits of corn. Corn comes in a variety of ways as you cans see, corn tortillas, corn ships, frozen corn, regular corn, canned corn and ect. Remember FRESH is always BEST! But these are some other ways to indulge in the many nutritional benefits that corn can offer. As you can see some research has proven to reduce the risk of many health conditions and also aid you in better health and providing nutrition to our bodies. If money is the issue, try to add this during summer months when it is affordable and give it a try. This food offers a satisfying taste and added benefits so lets Enjoy!
